B. Giltner, CLU, CSSC James B. Giltner is a 1981 graduate of the Business School at The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. While a student at The University of Dayton, he participated in various bands and orchestras while becoming an accomplished trumpet player. Mr. Giltner joined Mutual of New York, MONY, immediately upon graduation. He has achieved numerous industry and company honors over the last two decades. While with MONY, Mr. Giltner served as Chairman of the Professional Development and Ethics and Liability Task Force Committees. He has held chairmanships and served as President of the Akron Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Mr. Giltner has developed a practice that specializes in estate planning, executive benefits and pre-retirement planning. His clients include professionals, small business owners and professional sports teams. Some of his clients include the Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trailblazers and the Orlando Magic professional basketball teams. While maintaining his practice, Mr. Giltner has become a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant. He has represented law firms and their clients in structured settlements in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Mexico, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts and Illinois. Mr. Giltner lives in Bath, Ohio with his wife Gail, and their six children. He enjoys coaching his children in their various sports events and continues to play the trumpet.
